Today, I'm happy to present you the Debian package python-mapscript,
which is part of the python section, and maintained by Debian GIS
Project <pkg-grass-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org>. 

This package contains : Python library for MapServer.

Python MapScript provides MapServer functions for Python scripts.
