Today, I'm happy to present you the Debian package debsums, which is
part of the admin section, and maintained by Francois Marier
<francois at debian.org>. 

This package contains : verification of installed package files against
MD5 checksums.

debsums can verify the integrity of installed package files against
MD5 checksums installed by the package, or generated from a .deb
archive.
