Today, I'm happy to present you the Debian package gnome-mime-data,
which is part of the gnome section, and maintained by Debian GNOME
Maintainers <pkg-gnome-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>. 

This package contains : base MIME and Application database for GNOME..

This module contains the base MIME and Application database for GNOME.
It is meant to be accessed through the MIME functions in GnomeVFS.
