Today, I'm happy to present you the Debian package apcupsd, which is
part of the admin section, and maintained by Samuele Giovanni Tonon
<samu at debian.org>. 

This package contains : APC UPS Power Management.

Controls / monitors the status of an APC UPS under Linux.
Allows your computer or server to run for a specified length of
time on UPS power, and then executes a controlled shutdown in
the case of an extended power failure.
