Today, I'm happy to present you the Debian package
libapache-mod-auth-mysql, which is part of the web section, and
maintained by Matthew Palmer <mpalmer at debian.org>. 

This package contains : Apache module for MySQL authentication.

A module for the Apache web server which enables HTTP authentication
against information stored in a MySQL database.
